Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iran's joint military command, said the carrier's presence is considered a threat to Iran. “Therefore, the logistical and service facilities supporting the aforementioned naval task group in the Red Sea will be regarded as targets by Iran’s armed forces,” he said. Separately, US President Donald Trump said he demanded about seven countries send warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz open as Iranian strikes continued to rain down on Gulf countries on Monday.
