!! You may want to play your own music - songs, instrumentals, soundtrack, etc. - as I did not add any music or narratives. !! This is the summary of my 6-year (or 6-winter) project. I dressed total 52 flies of 8 colored plates that appear in George Kelson's The Salmon Fly. Total 52 may not be too many for 6 winters, let's say I'm talking about 5-6 months from late fall to spring here in Montana, but here are a couple of notes to clarify which are hard to insert or explain in the video. 1. I'm a fly-fishing guide in and around Livingston, Montana. I only work on salmon flies after my guide season is over, from late October to March/April. 2. Good motivation and undaunted determination = very good!! However I knew those alone would not always result in eye-pleasing salmon flies. Indeed my skills, flies, that is, improved as I keep dressing through the course of these years. 3. Besides this project, I usually have some frame orders and some other patters I'm curious to dress and frame for the winter. 4. Including patterns for Reason 3 above, I focused to purchase and prepare materials for the winter. Certainly I budged myself but also the truth is I wouldn't have been able to keep track of my inventory if I had tried to gather materials for the next few winters. I think that's about it! It's been quite a journey for me. But!! The next project is almost ready!! Stay tuned!! Faithfully Yours, WWW.LEFTYANGLERANDFLIES.COM
