Ghost 19.04.25 O2 Arena London Audio Only I recorded this inside of the yondr pouch. I know there was a phone ban in place but at no point was I instructed to turn my phone completely off. My phone was handed to a yondr employee and they placed it into a yondr pouch and closed it. I did not reopen it or use my phone at any point during the performance. The reason I did this was for all the people who could not afford, travel to and access this concert. I’m not trying to offend or disrepect anyone by doing so. Tickets are expensive, arenas are not within traveling ranges for everyone and not everyone can access them! Tickets also sell out so quickly! Here are some of Tobias Forges words about the phone ban in his interviews: Forge previously discussed GHOST's phone "ban" earlier this month in an interview with Planet Rock. He said at the time: "I really wanna underline that the ban has nothing to do with, let's say, copyright control. It's not that we wanna sit on all the material and we don't want anybody to monetize [GHOST videos]; it has nothing to do with that." “Arguably, if you are able to film in a way that doesn’t distract people around you (by making sure your flash is off, for example), it can be a lovely way to be able to revisit cherished memories. But it’s also worth considering that spending a large chunk of your time at a gig filming on your phone could be taking away from the experience itself, and you may end up missing out on actually living it.” As you can see Tobias Forge said the ban was to create a phone free environment and had nothing to do with wanting to stop people uploading and controlling the use of their music material, so I didn’t see the problem with audio recording.
