Vandalized Montgomery A Series Elevator - Sears Park Place Mall (Tucson, AZ)

[Filmed on 2013-03-29 in 1080p60.] Dedicated to elevatortimes/elevatorman155. Unfortunately, this elevator is vandalized. Some idiot put gum in the key-switch. You will see that I had a mini-meltdown on camera because I could not turn off that annoying fan. Anyways, it's odd this elevator is a Montgomery. The escalators looks older and they are OTIS. I think there was another store here before Sears. When Sears came they probably just kept the escalators and completely replaced the elevator; because both elevator and escalators that are here today have never been modernized. I have not seen a Twinkie M before like this with a single slide door. In fact, single slide doors are somewhat rare on Montgomery elevators. ANOTHER ODD THING: This is the very first mall store I have been in where the elevator is in the center of the store. Usually the escalators are in the dead center of the store and the elevator is in some far off corner. Both the elevators and the escalators are fairly close to each other.
