Richard explores how the stories we tell influence our perception of the world and how adapting cultural texts can lead to a reconsideration of our relationships with each other. He argues that by adapting narratives, we have the power to shape a better world. Richard Wiseman is a PhD research student in the Department of Performing Arts with a background in theatre as a writer and director. He is particularly interested in how stories are adapted for new audiences. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
