Mărmureanu MD Dr. Alexander Mărmureanu is a recognized thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon in Los Angeles, California. In his years of practice, Dr. Mărmureanu was able to successfully treat some of the most challenging and complex heart and lungs conditions. He completed his General Surgery Residency and his research fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Mărmureanu continued his surgical training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he participated actively in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery research. He completed his Fellowship at UCLA, where he continued to practice as a Clinical Instructor and then joined Cedars Sinai Medical staff. Dr. Mărmureanu is nationally and internationally recognized in the field of thoracic and cardiac surgery and has written several research papers and clinical publications. In his spare time, he does a lot of charity work and travels around the world to train local surgeons. In 2002, Dr. Alexander Mărmureanu established the California Heart & Lung Surgery Center, a place where every patient receives the very best in medical care.
