I Scored An ATC 350X at the AIMExpo in Anaheim! AND went to the 2026 A1 Supercross!!

My good buddy Curtie invited me to join him at the AIMExpo in Anaheim California. He said "you get yourself there and I'll cover the rest..." Well, that's an offer I couldn't refuse! The Expo was scheduled to be right before the A1 Supercross races, so naturally we'd be going to that too. Anything else we happened to get ourselves into was extra credit! We started to figure out what other things we could get into before we even left. Looked for guys we knew with collections we could scope out... everybody was either too far away or wasn't around that weekend. One of the guys I contacted, Nick, was too far away but told me he'd be at Supercross so I should get ahold of him when we were there and he'd give us a tour! The tour ended up, basically, being a VIP, behind the scenes show and tell about how the AMA puts the event on and broadcasts it to the world. Seriously AMAZING! Before all that though... an 1985 Honda ATC 350X basically fell into my lap... 10 miles from the hotel we were staying at... AND I lined up an outstanding shipper who picked it up the next morning and had it to me in NY the following week. We met one of the coolest 16 year old Honda enthusiasts out there... Garrison... he showed us a couple machines from his collection when I went to his house to deliver a hat he had purchased. One of my favorite parts of the trip! And then there was the Honda Collection Hall we happened to discover was out there at American Honda Motor Co. headquarters in Torrence CA. That was sick... and free to the public! We paid more to park at Huntington Beach for 30 minutes so my pall Curtie could stick his toes in the Pacific. So, the Expo... that was what we were there for... but that seemed to get eclipsed by all the extra credit activities! It was such a cool thing to be a part of though. AND... I got to meet some awesome people, like Jimmy White, a legend who used to race three wheelers back in the day for Kawasaki. And also Craig, from the YouTube Channel The Bearded Mechanic.
