UPDATE: I went tubeless ( • Alpina Tubeless wheels review ) and it pretty much solved the problem for me. First things to check if you have a front end bounce: View manual for precise instruction on how to reassemble the front wheel (many have solved it this way). Is tire well balanced Have you tried a different tube in the front wheel (heavy duty tubes seem to be more prone to causing this issue) Is the tire red dot aligned with the valve. Does the tire have uneven wear. Is the tire pressure good Did you recently add extra weight (heavy top box, luggage, etc) Is it noticeable on smooth roads as well as bumpy roads Has your rims been checked to make sure they aren't oval or have a flat spot Have you tried a different kind of tire Some have dropped the triple clamps on the forks by 5-10mm. Have you played with the suspension adjustments? (try maxing and minimizing settings and see if it has a noticeable effect on the bounce. Personally what resolved it was going to tubeless wheels, I've since taken the bike on long trips and it's been awesome. -------------------------------------------- Here's how one owner solved his front end bounce issue (the issue reported on a few forums where between 40 and 70km/h the front is bouncing even when the road is smooth). These settings are for a 150-170lbs rider. Let me know if it works for you! Here are the settings: FRONT Preload 9 turns from min setting (stock 8 1/2 turns) Rebound 1 3/4 turns from max setting (stock 2 1/4 turns) Compression 6 clicks from max (stock 8 clicks) REAR Preload 5 clicks from min (stock 7 clicks) Rebound 7 clicks from max (stock 9 clicks) Compression 13 clicks from max (stock 14 clicks)
