WALKS IN HAMPSHIRE at BISHOPSTOKE ( RIVER ITCHEN)

This is another video in my series “Walks in Hampshire” accompanied by my Whippet (Logan). In this episode I take a 5 mile walk that follows a splendid path alongside the old Itchen Navigation Canal heading North & then returning over wide meadows close to the River Itchen coming back South. As well as exploring the old locks & bridges of the canal, I got to experience some stunning views of the countryside and I came across a few surprises along the way. Coming back into Bishopstoke (my starting point), I did a detour into the lovely woodland walk at the new retirement village being built at “The Mount”. I parked my car in a road called "Riverside" (Grid Ref SU465194 Nearest post code : SO50 6LQ) Once again I was blessed with glorious sunshine for this relaxing & calming walk.
