Hip Hop Family Tree is a thoroughly researched, richly detailed history that channels the music, style and language of the hip hop culture into a comic book chronicle that has been embraced by both the media and the hip hop community. The series is available on the web and in several print volumes, including the latest, "Hip-Hop Family Tree: 1984-1985". Piskor's other published works include, in collaboration with Harvey Pekar, "American Splendor" and "The Beats: A Graphic History." Piskor teaches classes on comics and lives in Pennsylvania.
