LED grow lights are a truly remarkable feat of technology and are by far the most efficient horticultural lightsavailable. Traditionally, growers set HID grow lights at full power and adjustedthe hanging height fromthecanopy to adjust light intensity for different stages of growth. Some growers follow their old practices after switching to LED fixtures becausethey don’t know that dimming the LED lights will not change spectrum and efficiency like HID lights. The correct application of an LED lightis to place the LED fixtures as close to the canopy as possible,using the dimming feature to adjust the light intensity to proper PPFD.
