Mark Teske -- The Mennonites

This is a re-posting of a lecture from the 2019 NWFSBS Lectureship entitled, "An Examination Of Religious History: 1500-1700 A.D." In this lecture, Mark Teske deals with the history of the Mennonites, going back to the Waldensians who predated the reformation by 400 years yet sought the same principles. He discusses the Anabaptists and the former Catholic priest by the name of Menno Simon (namesake of the Mennonites) and his efforts promoting reformation principles. The Mennonites Articles of Faith and their similarities to and differences from the Bible are also considered. This lesson was originally presented on June 11th, 2019. This and other lectures from both the 2018 and 2019 Lectureships are being re-posted in anticipation of the 2020 NWFSBS Lectureship which will be available online beginning June 15th. The in-person lectureship was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic which necessitated this change in venue.
