The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is a Russian twin-seat, all-weather attack helicopter developed by the Kamov Design Bureau as a highly maneuverable derivative of the single-seat Ka-50. A distinctive feature of its design is the use of two coaxial, contra-rotating main rotors, which uniquely eliminates the need for a tail rotor, contributing significantly to its agility. The helicopter is powered by two Klimov VK-2500 turboshaft engines and features a wide fuselage to accommodate its crew of two seated in a side-by-side arrangement.
