Chellino Crane Gearbox Exchange and Rotor Removal

ML Crane Group company Chellino Crane using their Kobelco SL6000 (600 ton crawler crane) and Mantis 20010 tail crane (100 ton tele-boom crawler crane) to perform a 56,000 lb. gearbox exchange and a 104,644 lb. rotor removal for a local customer. Variable ground conditions necessitated building a 132 ft. x 49 ft. pad for the SL6000 in order to perform the multiple critical lifts required to complete the project. Configured with 197 ft. of boom, 177 ft. of luffing jib, and 110,200 lbs. of counterweight at a radius of 100 ft., the SL6000 worked in tandem with the 20010 tail crane (128 ft. of boom, 35,240 lbs. counterweight, 30 ft. radius) to perform all lifts safely and effectively.
