I can never say no to a lo-fi beat on the Deluge; it has this distinct sound quality that invites me to keep it softer and relaxed (it must be the Boards of Deluge presets too). The Arpeggiator functions are just so cool, especially with the current 1.3 firmware, where I can use the four buttons under the screen to navigate through the menu pages. But the firmware being still in beta also meant for some reasons the Swing function wasn't working on this project, and being a quick jam during #jamuary I didn't have time to troubleshoot the situation 😄 That's on me though, there is really nothing bad to say about the Deluge as an instrument and a community around it. Will 2026 be the year I become more comfortable with its many functions? Proceeding slowly but steadily :) Chase Bliss Clean is there for a little bit of gentle polish (I know the Deluge already has a compressor, but since I got it in the Mystery Box last year, I am trying to leverage it more ahah), and Generation Loss mk2 is probably the pedal I use the most with the Deluge, exactly because what I was saying in the beginning: enhancing the lo-fi, laid back approach.
