Why Earlsdon Is Now The Best Place In Coventry To Rest Your Head [See for Yourself]

I think that it is the ideal location to rest your head if you are moving to Coventry. Here are some reasons why: 1. It is close to green spaces. Earlsdon is flanked on two sides by the very large War Memorial park to the South and Hearsall Common to the North. So you are never far away from a lovely place to go jogging or walking. These spaces are also used for large events such as fairs and festivals. 2. Earlsdon is situated directly between the two universities – Coventry University in the city centre and the University of Warwick to the South East. This makes it very convenient for many staff and students and this mix of students contributes to a more vibrant and interesting lifestyle. It is also close to King Henry VIII school, one of the top schools in the region. 3. Its close proximity to the city centre, means that you are within walking distance in to major amenities. 4. The High Street, which forms the hub of Earlson life, has a great selection of local café’s, restaurants and pubs, rather than chains, giving it an interesting vibe. 5. For sporty types there is a rugby club, golf club and tennis club as well as grounds for playing football. 6. There is a wide range of housing – from large detached to small terrace houses – meaning that there will be a suitable home for you regardless of budget. You can see for yourself in this walking tour which covers Earlsdon Avenue South and Earlsdon Avenue North. The walk starts off by the War Memorial Park and continues past the more upmarket residences of The Firs and Belvedere Road, before reaching the roundabout. Here you can see the Methodist church, the City Arms Pub, the Earlsdon Carnegie Community Library, and the bottom of Earlsdon High Street. Crossing the road by the roundabout takes us to Earlsdon Avenue North where you will find, next to the library, Earlsdon Primary School. On this side of Earlsdon, there are more streets with terrace houses such as Westwood Road and Newcombe Road. The latter road is notable as one of the houses on that road is Frank Whittle’s birthplace. This walk finishes at Hearsall Common near the Old Clarence pub.
