In this prehistoric encounter, a small band of Homo habilis, armed with nothing but simple stone tools and sharp wits, comes face-to-face with a towering monster: the massive ancestor of the modern ostrich. Standing over 9–10 feet tall and weighing far more than any living bird today, this flightless behemoth could sprint at terrifying speeds and deliver bone-crushing kicks powerful enough to kill a big cat.
