Infertility isn’t just a medical journey - it affects your entire life. It shakes everything up from your career to your relationships, not to mention your body as you navigate the hormonal shifts. In addition, it's even longer of a journey for those of us with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR) or Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI). I think it might be one of the toughest cases of infertility. In this video, I’m sharing a more personal side of what it’s been like for me to go through almost three years of IVF... how it’s changed my career path, shifted some relationships, and honestly, some practices to help me to stay sane through it all. If you’re in the thick of it too, I hope this gives you some comfort or makes you feel a little less alone. I’m sharing a few of the things that have helped me cope - mentally, emotionally, and spiritually - because this journey is hard, and you deserve support that goes beyond the clinical stuff. About me ❤ My name is Hellynn and I live in the US, but I've traveled to Korea (where I'm from) to undergo multiple rounds of IVF. Being 40+ and trying to bring children into the world is hard, but I also have a condition called diminished ovarian reserve, so I've done back-to-back IVF egg retrievals and now have moved onto transfers after banking some embryos. Navigating this world of infertility is definitely a challenge - a million new acronyms, hormones and protocols to learn - it's a lot. So I thought I'd just talk about everything I've been learning for the women out there who have had similar struggles. I'm also happy to share info with anyone who is interested in traveling to Korea for IVF, since it's much more cost efficient + high success rates here. I am treating this channel as my diary, talking about the ups and downs of my journey to motherhood so that one day, hopefully, my babies will see how they were created... with fierce, enduring strength and love. I hope you find my videos helpful - thanks for stopping by.
