A random thought hit me while I was trying to figure out what my next video should be. I think I was scrolling online and saw people tearing into an anime — calling it “flawed,” (well they said "trash' ) but I realized how interesting it is how differently people absorb the same story. There are anime that get a lot of hate that I genuinely enjoy. And the things people point to as flaws… sometimes those things don’t bother me at all. Sometimes they’re not even what I’m focused on. The way I’ve always watched anime has been rooted in how it makes me feel. What resonates. What sticks with me. And I’m not saying it’s wrong to critique or label things a certain way — that’s just opinion, and I respect that. This isn’t about winning an argument or trying to change anyone’s mind. Art is subjective. A single story can be experienced in ten different ways, and none of them are automatically wrong. For me, an anime doesn’t have to be perfect to matter. Sometimes it just has to arrive at the right time — and that’s enough to make it stay with you. Captain’s Note: On this ship, I’m open to different ways people enjoy anime — emotionally, analytically, casually, quietly, or somewhere in between. You don’t have to agree with each other here. You just have to be willing to express where you’re coming from with understanding. II WANT YOU TO JOIN MY CREW: • Subscribe! • Follow on the socials!
