Traditional wooden temples and unique architecture reflect local craftsmanship and deep-rooted cultural heritage Administrative & Demographic Facts Dodra-Kwar is a recognized tehsil in Shimla district According to the 2011 Census, its population stands at 6,372, with about 3,327 males and 3,045 females The region is sparsely populated, with roughly 18 inhabitants per km² Travel & Lifestyle To reach Dodra-Kwar, one must travel from Shimla to Rohru, then cross Chanshal Pass. The segment from Rohru to Kwar takes between 7–9 hours, including crossing Dodra on the way   Limited transport exists — typically just one bus per day Accommodation is basic: small guesthouses like the Negi dhaba or PWD rest house, or camping in meadows.
