If you’re losing coolant, it’s likely not a head gasket issue. It’s a common problem to lose the coolant in the heater exchange in the catalytic converter. This is a technique to bypass so the coolant does not flow into the catalytic converter and come out of the exhaust as white smoke. You can replace the entire catalytic converter heat exchanger, but mine is a short term fix remedy that will bypass it to prevent coolant loss and stop white smoke coming out of the exhaust. After you complete the procedures you will still get some white smoke due to the residual in the lines. You’re gonna have to drive it sometime until it’s completely drained out or dehydrated. You will need a size 10 socket and size 14 socket. Don’t really need a lot of tools to be honest maybe some pliers and a screwdriver.
