To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's second album "No Beginner," the official Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils YouTube channel is releasing a series of select tracks from that classic 1993 CD. "No Beginner" was recorded in Austin, Texas and co-produced by the Blue Devils with Tom "Bones" Malone. "Bones" is best known for his distinctive horn work with the Saturday Night Live and Blues Brothers bands during the 1970s and 80s. (He can currently be seen every night on "The Late Show with David Letterman" as part of Paul Schaffer's CBS Orchestra.) Featured this week is "Full Moon Blues," an original song that dates back to the duo of Mark Lyon and Keri Leigh's early days gigging together around Oklahoma City. Although the song remained an audience favorite in the band's live shows for years, "we didn't actually getting around to recording it until the second album," Leigh quips, "for reasons that are still mysterious to me."
