Get a prepaid taxi while getting out of the airport to avoid any taxi scams. Or you can book an uber. If you are taking Autorikshaw or the Yellow-Black taxi, insist to go by meter. 2. Avoid Mumbai local train during rush hour. Take a whole day ticket or smart card according to your travel plan. 3. Don't get shocked by looking at number of people everywhere, cows or cops on the street. 4. Cross the roads carefully. If possible, cross along with some Indians crossing it. 5. Many museums and art galleries are at walkable distance from one another in South Mumbai. So you don't have to get a cab to travel from one museum to another. 6. Eat street food on a stall where there is more crowd and they are cooking it fresh in front of you. 7. Don't hesitate to bargain while street shopping. 8. Not all people are creepy but you should learn to recognize difference between creepy people and good people. 9. Beware of pick-pocketing. 10.
