Let’s make art together! 🎉 / @comic_kids_org ABOUT VINCENT VAN GOGH: Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853, in the Netherlands, but did you know he didn’t start painting until he was 27 years old? Before becoming an artist, he worked as an art dealer, teacher, and even a preacher. Mostly self-taught, Van Gogh was inspired by Impressionist painters and Japanese art, which influenced his unique style. Throughout his career, Van Gogh lived and painted in Belgium, the Netherlands, Paris, and Arles, France, where he created some of his most famous works. His artwork is known for: Bold colors like bright yellows, deep blues, and rich greens that express emotions. Thick brushstrokes using a technique called impasto, where the paint is applied so thickly that it creates texture. Swirling lines and movement, making his paintings feel full of life and energy. 10 Famous Vincent van Gogh Paintings Want to learn about Van Gogh’s most iconic works? Here are 10 of his most famous paintings: The Starry Night – His most famous masterpiece, featuring swirling stars and a glowing night sky. Starry Night Over the Rhône – A beautiful nighttime reflection on the water. Wheatfield with Crows – A dramatic, mysterious painting thought to be his last. Sunflowers – One of his most well-known series, featuring vibrant golden flowers. Almond Blossoms – Painted for his baby nephew, symbolizing new life. The Bedroom – A painting of his small bedroom in Arles, France. Café Terrace at Night – A glowing café scene under a starry sky. Irises – A beautiful flower painting created while Van Gogh was in a hospital. Self-Portrait with a Bandaged Ear – A self-portrait after a serious injury. The Potato Eaters – One of his earliest works, showing the hard life of farmers. Van Gogh’s work stands out because he painted with deep emotion and energy. His art wasn’t just about copying what he saw—it was about expressing how he felt. His bold brushstrokes, bright colors, and love for simple, everyday subjects like flowers, fields, and starry skies make his paintings feel personal and relatable!
