But arriving didn’t mean the trip restarted normally — I had already missed the first day of our schedule. Instead of beginning fresh, we had to reorganize everything in real time: airport pickup straight into planning, a quick lunch that became a meeting, checking into the Monomotapa Hotel, and sitting down with the country director to rebuild the next few days.
