An explanation of what factors go into determining and airplanes rate of turn as we as it's turn radius. In short it's that because acceleration is fixed by sturcutral considerations of the airframe and speed has to be greater than the stall speed. Given that and that a = (v^2)/r and ω=v/r so also a = (ω^2)*r so by rearranging terms we can arrive at r = (v^2)/a and ω = a/v Thus the airplane with the higher maximum g loading will have a better turn rate and win a two circle fight and the airplane with the lower stall speed will have a smaller turn radius and win a one circle fight. Dogfights are more complicated than that but there’s some simple and hopefully insightful analysis of the physics involved. _______________________ Also forgot to add it to the overlay but for 9 g the bank angle is 84 degrees and for 7.5 g it's 82 degrees.
