This is a new rakugo story I'm currently developing- a Ninjō-banashi (人情噺) with a gentle touch of comedy. The inspiration came from a very real place in Yokohama City: a bus stop where no buses ever arrive. I won’t spoil the story here, but I hope you’ll sense why this unusual bus stop exists and what it represents. I later learned that similar bus stops can be found in other parts of Japan, each carrying many different stories. At its core, this rakugo is about waiting, connection, and the small acts of kindness that shape our lives.
