In this video my wife Sue and I team up with Lake Ray Roberts guide Dannie Golden to try and catch our first ever American Bass. Lake Ray Roberts is known for the quality of its bass rather than the number of fish it holds. It's a trophy bass fishery. The lake had just hosted the 2025 Bassmaster Classic and there were numerous big fish weighed in throughout the event so were excited at the prospect of not only catching a bass but potentially a "lunker", the term used to describe a bass weighing more than 6lbs. Our day was cut short by a series of storms rolling through the area and the potential of tornadoes but we had an awesome experience either way.
