You do need someone who is already out there to revive you or alternatively use a checkpoint autorez of some kind. the moon has an autorez in the Pit of Heresy dungeon, when you clear the first encounter. But getting to patrol from the dungeon is arguably harder than just going out with quantum pikes. I had lots of help for this route.
