With rain-soaked roads, lush green landscapes, clouds hugging the hills, and endless fun with friends and family, this vlog is all about reconnecting with nature and enjoying the little joys of travel. 🚗💨 In this video, my wife and I are joined by our awesome neighbors — Aliva didi, Swayam bhai, and their adorable son Guddu — as we set off early in the morning for a spontaneous trip to the hills. This isn’t just a travel vlog, it’s a story of friendship, unexpected road hiccups, and heartwarming memories along the way. 🌤️ Trip Highlights & Timeline 📍 Starting Point: Navi Mumbai Departure Time: 6:30 AM Route Taken: Mumbai-Pune Expressway → NH-48 → Wai → Panchgani Distance: ~230 KM Car: Hyundai i20 (Manual) – a nostalgic and fun experience driving manual after a long time! ☕ Morning Breaks & Roadside Fun Post Talegaon Toll, we took our first break for a hearty breakfast. Hot tea, vada pav, and that typical highway vibe made for a perfect start. The weather was pure monsoon bliss — overcast skies, gentle drizzle, and a crisp breeze. 🛠️ Unexpected Puncture in Pune! Hit heavy traffic near Pune, as expected. A friendly biker flagged us down about a tyre puncture near Joshi Vadewale. Luckily, we found a nearby puncture repair shop, got it fixed quickly, and treated ourselves to some piping hot vadapav to keep spirits high! 🥤 Sugarcane Juice at Wai – A Local Treat Just before reaching Dhom Dam, we stopped for freshly squeezed sugarcane juice, a specialty of Wai. The sweetness, chill, and freshness of that juice? Just what we needed after a long drive! 🌧️ Dhom Dam – Monsoon Magic Unleashed The rain intensified as we neared Dhom Dam, and it turned the landscape into a dreamy painting. The drive along the lake with the rain pouring down and mist rising from the hills was an absolute highlight of the trip. Pro tip: If you're visiting during monsoons, keep your camera ready — every corner is Instagram-worthy! 🏡 Arrival at Farm Stay – Gupshup, Breaks & Masti After several pit stops, singalongs, photo sessions, and endless gupshup, we finally reached our beautiful farm stay near Wai around 2:00 PM. The property was surrounded by greenery, with rain-drenched trees and the sound of birds — the perfect weekend detox!
