“Milking the Cow” – Guzheng Performance by Olivia (Age 8) Our first piece is “Milking the Cow,” adapted from an interlude in the film Children of the Grassland. This lively and spirited melody beautifully expresses the Mongolian people’s love for labour and the joy that work brings to everyday life. With its refreshing rhythm and charming musical character, the piece captures a sense of energy, happiness, and the vibrant spirit of the grassland. Today’s performer is 8-year-old Olivia, the youngest musician in our recital. This marks her very first public performance, a truly special and memorable moment in her musical journey.
