IN THIS VIDEO We take you around Queen Mary’s Kings Court buffet restaurant Then, the wide range of foods you can expect to find for Breakfast OUR VERDICT Does the Kings Court offer a fabulous feast fit for a Queen? The typical cruise ship buffet can deliver delights or disasters in a number of ways, but we had high expectations of what the Cunard line had to offer on their flagship? The overall verdict? 9/10 in range, variety, and quality. HIGHLIGHTS Fruit was every bit as luscious, juicy, and sweet as you want fruit to be, but rarely find these days. The cold meat/charcuterie were of a high standard. A particular joy to find smoked salmon that actually imparted a smoked and delicate flavour rather than merely salty. Its difficult to identify any fault that we discovered, but in brief summary we would say this: We don’t rate the coffee served here very highly. ‘Average’ just about describes it. The fried eggs seemed strangely small and lacked flavour. These are of course minor issues. Overall, if you went for breakfast here every day on one of QM2’s transatlantic voyages, we doubt you’d be disappointed in what you had to choose.
