Self-Preservation by Steve Damm 9/25/22 There is a coffin in your mouth burying everyone who is around. When you swallow it goes south to the open grave you brandish about. The negativity and discontent digs a hole of punishment and a reason not to be present. We see how unhappy you are. We are sad it has got this far. If it heals will you again cut the scar? Because we can’t survive the deluge of all the things unacceptable to you, we’ll need to totally abandon you. The rain and thunder of your tongue are bullets of gloom on the sun, we’ll all leave while you reload the gun. Self-Preservation demands we turn and run. There is a pistol in your eyes killing everyone with dark lies. When you whistle everybody dies to escape the fire you flash about the sky The ungrateful negative a poison sedative and a reason not to forgive. We know how unhappy you seem. We are sad it is nearly complete. It won’t heals with you just begging to bleed. Because we can’t survive the deluge of all the things unacceptable to you, we’ll need to totally abandon you.
