On January 25th, 2024 at approximately 1523 I received a stolen alert for a New Jersey tag V90SJT . The last known location of the vehicle was Camp Creek Marketplace and Commerce Drive. As I traveled north on Commerce Drive, I observed a vehicle similar to the description from vehicle in the alert. The vehicle, a beige Chevrolet Malibu. I made a U-turn and traveled behind the vehicle. The Chevrolet, pulled into a private parking lot, stopped, fled and initiated a vehicle pursuit. The Chevrolet traveled recklessly through the parking lot and back to the Commerce Drive. It crossed over Commerce Drive and continued fleeing eastbound. The vehicle fled recklessly through the Camp Creek Marketplace, disregarding stop signs and other traffic control signs. The vehicle then traveled west on Shelby Lane. The vehicle continued westbound and traveled across Lowes Parking lot. Afterward, the vehicle turned back onto Commerce Drive and traveled east on Camp Creek Parkway. The traveled to Interstate 285 and then fled South on I-285. Afterward, the vehicle exited at Camp Creek Parkway. After exiting at Washington Road, the vehicle lost control and traveled over the raised divider. Afterward, the vehicle continued traveling south. After locating a safe position, I performed a PIT maneuver on the passenger side. The vehicle rotated clockwise. Afterward, the vehicle was disabled, and the driver fled from the vehicle. I ran after the driver and was able to get close to deploy my taser. It was unsuccessful. After the second discharged, I slipped and lost contact with the driver. TFC. Kammeraad deployed his taser and it was effective, the driver fell to the ground. After detaining the driver, He was identified as Marquavius Terek Beasley. Mr. Beasley license were cancelled due to multiple reasons. In addition, he was wanted for numerous crimes in Fulton County and Clayton County. After confirmation of all warrants, Mr. Beasley was transported to Clayton County jail.
