convicted murderer who killed his pregnant girlfriend by stabbing and slashing her 23 times at her home in Walthamstow, northeast London, has been sentenced to life with a minimum term of 42 years. Shaine March, 47, of Surrey Quays, London, attacked Alana Odysseos, 32, when she was in the early stages of pregnancy with her third child on 22 July last year. March, who previously admitted to manslaughter by diminished responsibility but denied murder, changed his plea and admitted to the murder of Ms Odysseos on the seventh day of his trial. It could then be reported that March was aged 21 when he killed a man by stabbing him in the neck at a McDonald's restaurant in January 2000. He was convicted of the murder of Andre Drummond, 17, in July that year and jailed before being released on licence in early 2013.
