Even though he's going to be starting at the back of the grid at the IZOD IndyCar World Championships on Sunday, Dan Wheldon still ran a qualifying run at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He ran at 218.410 MPH which would have put him at the 28th position, but he'll be starting at the back of the pack as he did in Kentucky. It's all part of his vying for the GoDaddy $5 million prize to be shared with a lucky fan should he win the race starting from the back of the grid. We were actually rather impressed that he moved up 14 slots in Kentucky, but Wheldon isn't. He's frustrated as they're still having the same problems they did in Kentucky. He's way off his pace. For some reason he can't do well anymore on these tracks and he doesn't know why. "In the pace that we're at we won't even keep up in the draft," said Wheldon who won pole positions at Indy and Texas, and won the Indy 500.
