This is the adventure we experienced in our 1999 Ford Ranger Pickup Camper, attempting to reach a milestone in the Andes: crossing the highest tunnel in the Americas, in the Cordillera Blanca, within Huascarán National Park. But first, we have to prepare our overland vehicle and prepare ourselves for the challenges we will face as we explore the most unknown side of these Andean mountains.
