Exploring the Don Alvadore Mine

This is our exploration of the remote Don Alvadore Mine #2, a historic gold mine located in the old Homer Mining District near Lundy Lake, Mono County, California. The mine has been abandoned for over 100 years. There is significant excavations and equipment to check out. There is also an interesting history regarding the men who developed it that we share. The mine is in beautiful Lundy Canyon, in a grand Eastern Sierra setting. It's a wonderful place for hiking, exploring and admiring nature. Although we show a lot of images of the mine, we intentionally omit details on how to reach the site. It is our desire to keep this location relatively unknown and obscure, to help preserve it for future generations. This is my very first YouTube video. I'm sure there are things I could have handled better, in hindsight. I'm learning as I go. So don't beat me up too bad! Thanks for your interest, Brian
