Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha, Expert Speaker and Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), participated in the WAAS@65 General Assembly and International Conference “Addressing Global Social Turbulences: Sources & Solutions”, held in collaboration with an exceptional global network of partners, including Arizona State University Global Futures Laboratory, Force for Good, World University Consortium, the Club of Rome, and the UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition. The conference addressed the unfolding global Polycrisis — a convergence of political, economic, social, cultural, technological, and environmental challenges threatening peace, human security, and sustainable development worldwide. Rather than approaching these crises as isolated phenomena, WAAS@65 focused on identifying their shared root causes and exploring systemic, value-based, and actionable pathways toward transformation. Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha contributed as a panelist to the session “Changing the Way We Think”, moderated by Carlos Álvarez Pereira, Secretary General of the Club of Rome and Fellow of WAAS. The session examined how today’s global turbulence arises from fundamental limitations in prevailing modes of thought, institutional logics, and policy frameworks, and emphasized the necessity of a profound shift in thinking to address the challenges confronting humanity. The dialogue highlighted the urgent need for integrated, transdisciplinary, and human-centered approaches that unite science, culture, ethics, and creativity — not only to respond to crisis, but to consciously shape a new evolutionary trajectory for global society. This participation reflects Natalia Rojcovscaia-Tumaha’s ongoing commitment to advancing the role of art, culture, and creative intelligence as essential forces in fostering ethical reflection, planetary awareness, and the inner transformations required for sustainable global change. Gratitude is expressed to WAAS and its partner organizations for creating a space where thought, responsibility, and action converge.
