Claremont Traffic Collision Leaves Bus Driver Trapped

CLAREMONT, Calif., Oct. 17 (KNN) – A traffic collision involving a bus and a vehicle shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Claremont left one driver trapped and injured. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and Claremont Police Department officers responded to a traffic collision involving a Foothill Transit bus at the intersection of North Claremont Boulevard and East Ninth Street. The driver of a passenger vehicle was able to exit safely and reported no injuries. However, the bus driver was temporarily trapped in the driver’s seat due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters successfully freed the bus driver, who was evacuated through a window. The bus driver was then transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.
