The 2025 Polestar 3 has been a long time coming for the Swedish-Chinese premium car brand. Its first mass-production model, the Polestar 2 mid-size liftback, has been tussling with the Tesla Model 3 for a while now – but it finally has reinforcement in the form of a second fully electric vehicle, the Polestar 3 large SUV. Closely related to the Volvo EX90 seven-seater, the Polestar 3 is strictly a five-seat proposition, but it targets family-car buyers nonetheless with its cavernous interior. Either way, the newcomer takes the fight to the rivalling BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV with a 111kWh battery pack that enables a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 650km. Better yet, its topped by a 380kW/910Nm dual-motor Performance flagship.
