You unlock New Game+ by completing The REAL Final Experiment and "rehousing" into New Game+. When going into New Game+, it restarts you back to the original formicarium, making you replay the first missions again. There is a twist, you get to keep everything you bought beforehand, so you have access to the full roster of formicarium ants right at the start. The other twist is when replaying the levels, you get to use your gene thief upgrades and minor improvements in the levels. This would make the levels easier, however, with New Game+, enemies become stronger, gaining star levels. The higher New Game+ you are, the stronger the enemies become. We'll be playing 5.2 (Drive Them Back) on New Game+1, on impossible difficulty. =================================== 0:00 - Upgrades/ Minor Improvements used 0:57 - Day 1 11:35 - Night 1 14:34 - Day 2 22:05 - Night 2 25:10 - Day 3 32:35 - Night 3 35:40 - Day 4 =================================== Upgrades/Minor Improvements Used: Queen gene thief upgrades used were Royal Guard and Second Wind Worker gene thief upgrades used were Efficient Brood and Nimble Matabele medic gene thief upgrades used were Sustain and Surgeon The Queen has 30 minor improvements into health. This gives the queen an extra 300 health. Workers have 30 minor improvements, split into 20 points into movement, and 10 into resource harvest. This gives the workers an extra "40" movement speed and 4 more harvesting maximum. Matabele medics have 30 minor improvement points, split into 20 points into movement, and 10 into physical and venom resistance. This gives the medics "40" extra movement speed and both 2.5% resistances in physical and venom. Matabele soldiers have 30 minor improvements, split into 20 movement speed and 10 into health. This gives the soldiers "40" extra movement speed and 10 extra health. =================================== Tips: Either matabele medic type works, either Fast Responder or Anesthetist, I believe Fast Responder works on this level nicely, to move around quicker around the map and revive soldiers faster to rejoin the fight. Build numbers for this level. More medics is useful for reviving more soldiers at a quicker rate to join the fight again. Extra workers can also help to bring more termite bodies back the nest. They can also be used for extra nest duty. Watch out for stink ants underground. Plan your attacks against the underground food, accordingly, let them pass by and then move onto the food you want to gather. You can dig out new routes for the stink ants to take to get access to food without worrying about them. Don't take on the driver ant swarm head on. Try to pick off their small soldiers and workers when they are carrying food. The small workers and workers won't fight back when carrying food. On this, you can take the food from the killed driver ants to increase your own food stores. Watch out for the large driver ant soldiers. They are strong and have knockback, charge, and stun abilities. If you are able to, go into the termite mound from the driver ants when they leave for the day, and harvest the dead termite queen body for extra food. Snag up the rear of the driver ant frontier and slowly pick off them. It'll be costly to face them on head-to-head. Save up food stores when taking on the driver ants. They will cause a lot of deaths. 600 or more food in reserve for respawns will help. You can sell some tiles for extra food just in case. You can try use the stink ants to help kill some driver ants. Attack the ones returning from the termite mounds and engage in combat with them to summon their reinforcements. When fighting the driver ants, turn off revival for the medics. You need all the ants on the battlefield fighting off the driver ants. =================================== Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game, in a fast-paced real-time strategy style. The player excavates their nest underground, constructing tunnels and chambers to store food and raise brood. On the surface, the ants claim territory, gather resources, overwhelm fearsome arachnids and clash with other colonies. Nest design, army size, composition and attack timing are key to securing victory. Empires of the Undergrowth is a real-time strategy game set in the world of ants!
