*EDIT: Goal number 27 (2002 Preliminary Final) was removed due to a copyright claim. After over 14 months of work I am pleased to publish my finished project showcasing every single goal from Alan Didak's legendary AFL career with Collingwood. Yes - thats right! All 274 of them in the best quality I could find. Many videos are in this video at 1080p but some are understandably quite low quality, this means the video is best viewed on a mobile phone or on a PC (but not in full-screen). In the cases that some clips are muted, this is not a problem with your device but rather a deliberate move by me which is either due to copyright issues, terrible audio quality or misaligned audio during the exporting stage (which took over 50 hours). So sit back and enjoy 274 magnificent goals from one of the most skilful and freakish players to ever don the black and white stripes. ______________________________________________________________ A big thankyou goes to everyone who helped me on this project. Those in particular know who they are and wish to remain anonymous but a particular thanks to the AFL who were extremely helpful in this process with fast communication and clarification on copyright distribution rules etc. ______________________________________________________________ Alan Didak was a Collingwood legend and superstar who played for the Pies between 2001 and 2013. He was drafted with the 3rd overall pick in the 2000 national draft and went on to become one of the premier small forwards in the competition. Over his 218-game career he kicked 274 goals, playing in 5 grand finals and 23 finals which places him 5th on the all-time Collingwood list for finals played and 16th for goals kicked. Over his career he won a host of accolades. He won the club Best & Fairest award in 2006 in a year where he made the All-Australian team and finished 2nd in the goalkicking as well. In 2010 he won the goalkicking in a premiership year and also won the Jock McHale medal (3rd B&F) and made the All-Australian team again. He was a member of the International Rules team in 2004, and after his career he became a life member of Collingwood and was inducted into the club hall of fame. Out of his 274 career goals, 46 were from 50 metres out or further, with several being from well over 60 metres out. Didak played with his fair share of teammates over his 13-year career and Brownlow medallist and Collingwood legend Dane Swan assisted him the most with 17 of Didak’s goals assisted by Swan. Chris Tarrant came in second with 12 assists, whilst Anthony Rocca (10), Scott Burns and Shane O’Bree (9) and Tarkyn Lockyer (8) were the next most frequent. ______________________________________________________________ Best Goals: 5 – 02:21 vs St. Kilda (his first real freakish goal) 15 – 10:07 vs Geelong (Buckley / Cameron Ling blood incident game) 26 – 16:22 vs Port Adelaide (famous goal to seal the 2002 qualifying final) 57 – 36:05 vs Sydney (ridiculously long goal from 60m out) 58 – 36:52 vs Brisbane (his first goal in his famous 2003 QF match winning performance) 59 – 37:48 vs Brisbane (Didaks legendary set shot puts Pies into a home prelim final) 67 – 43:56 vs Essendon ANZAC (amazing goal v Dons ANZAC day & a great call from BT) 69 – 44:57 vs Essendon ANZAC (his famous hanger & following goal v Dons ANZAC Day 04) 72 – 46:23 vs St. Kilda (great hanger and goal) #87 – 57:20 vs WCE (60m set shot lifts bottom placed Pies over top placed WCE at the 'G) 95 – 1:00:40 vs Geelong (Didak uses the umpire as a shepherd to kick a running goal) 126 – 1:19:38 vs Sydney (great wrong foot snap) 133 – 1:22:55 vs Fremantle (great wrong foot goal) 143 – 1:27:21 vs Port (Dids' match winner with 19 secs left & a signal to the Port cheersquad) 169 – 1:44:31 vs West Coast (his famous 55m goal, Semi Final upset win in extra time) 170 – 1:45:20 vs Geelong (perhaps his best goal, scissor kick v Geelong in the ’07 prelim) 221 – 2:17:43 vs Hawthorn (great long goal) 237-239 – 2:27:08 vs WCE (Didak kicks 3 goals in 1 minute) 244 – 2:32:26 vs Tigers (sells candy to 2 Tigers, does his famous shimmy for the 1st time) 246 – 2:33:43 vs Carlton (Didak kicks a 65m barrel much to the delight of Mick) 252 – 2:37:11 vs Bulldogs (my personal favourite in the 2010 QF, amazing banana) 254 – 2:38:55 vs St Kilda (ridiculous goal in the drawn 2010 grand final) 256 – 2:40:22 vs St Kilda (famous smother, wrong foot snap, shimmy as Pies win the flag) 274 – 2:49:55 vs North (his final career goal was a great one) many more! ______________________________________________________________ Check out my Instagram: / jsdsgn
