10 months. I believe that every horse out there is here to teach us something. When we stop learning as riders that is the time to stop or move on. Duke is my teacher and i won't leave him until he stops teaching me. I know that the bigger issue is with my lack of confidence in horses. I understand that it stems back to riding Mickey, but it is something i have to overcome. Duke challenges me more than any other horse could. For months we could be sound, then out of the blew he will throw something at me that i will have to learn to deal with. I am still learning, and i am so happy that Duke is still with me on our journey. I couldn't imagine any other horse that is suited to me as Duke is. That makes him one of a kind. x
