Even after recent tension and the incident that led to Somopane breaking his tusks, the young bull still shows respect for his mentors, with Jabulani keeping a quiet, watchful presence nearby. We then follow Fishan as he interacts with a fallen tree, while Tokwe observes from close by. This kind of interaction is a normal and healthy part of elephant behaviour, combining play, feeding and natural curiosity. Later, Tokwe takes time to rest beside Sebakwe, the dominant bull, closing her eyes as she leans her tusks against his. A calm, trusting moment that speaks to the bonds within the herd. The day ends with a peaceful sunset walk as the elephants return to the homestead, welcomed by fresh bana grass and lucerne.
