I left Peshawar, Pakistan early in the morning with one goal — enter the tribal areas to film one last video in the mountains and check out the local gun shops. But things quickly went sideways. Police stopped us at the border and blocked access to the tribal region entirely. Even worse, they refused to let us continue unless we took an armed officer with us “for protection.” What started as a simple adventure turned into something much bigger.
