Support me on Patreon!   / soniccircuitry   Finally acquired a vintage Sennheiser MD421 this week so I wanted to make a quick A/B video right away, comparing it to my Stam Audio SA-47FET (U47 fet clone). The amp is a Fender silverface musicmaster bass amp, which came with the musicmaster bass amps in the 70s. I usually use it for electric guitars though, 'cause it kinda lacks when it comes to bass sounds. However, for a certain kind of flavour it definitely works. I found that both mics work great for the job and are quite similar in this example. My signal path: 70s Teisco Shortscale bass into Fireface UC DI.
