Race to World First Day 5 Recap: Stix, The Wall

The first brick wall of the Race to World First is none other than Stix Bunkjunker! It's a surprising turn of events after the last two tiers, both of which were seen as landing on the difficult side, and Tettles was definitely expecting this tier to swing back in the other direction, but Stix and probably Sprocketmonger represent a large jump in difficulty quite early in the raid tier. The boss itself is super hard because of a combination of tough problems that it asks you to solve simultaneously, plus a tight numbers check for this early gear level that RWF guilds have this week even after millions of splits, though there are of course still some upgrades that they can commit when they decide it's worthwhile - historically this is something you'd almost never consider on boss 4 of 8 but as we approach the reset it's going to start being more and more tempting even if few bosses fall. The reset's approach is also now weighing on the decision making of the RWF guilds, as it's almost certain that we'll see the second reset at this point and the possibility of the third reset coming into play is now creeping into the back of our minds. Will Echo or Method be able to eliminate Stix while Liquid sleep and jump into the lead? Will anyone head to Sprocketmonger first? How many upgrades and crafts will be committed, or will anyone hold them entirely for next reset?
