I miss the days when I was able to draw on my downtime at work. It’s what made my other jobs bearable. And made me feel like I was, in some small way, finally getting paid to create. Which is (was) my lifelong dream. In fact, I illustrated most of my first book “on the clock”…it was a wonderful thing. Since I can’t draw in my current position, I was thinking of ways to still be productive and creative. I decided to make a music video. None of my more current songs seemed to fit the tone or “theme” of a simple sitting on a bus video, but my song, “Fences” from my debut album did seem to. So I figured I’d breathe some new life into this old tune. Written and recorded on cassette in my bedroom at my stepmom’s, way back in 2006/7, and then released on my first, self-titled album in 2010. You can download that almost anywhere…but it’s cheapest on Bandcamp (through my website). I put it up for $1.99 a long time ago…but still, no one buys it haha.
