Rahinnane Castle and the Knights of Kerry

Rahinnane Castle is a picturesque ruined castle in Ventry, Kerry. It is built in an ancient rath giving it a very distinctive appearance. Although it may not be well known it is historically important as it was the seat of the minor Geraldine family known as the Knights of Kerry and as such it was attacked by English forces in the Nine Years War.
